We developed a "capacitor-type energy storage system" that supports the conventional electric energy society, led by Professor Masashi Ishikawa from the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Kansai University. Since it does not involve chemical reactions during charging and discharging, the electrodes have a long lifespan. It allows for high current charging and discharging and is environmentally friendly as it does not use lead or other harmful materials.
